Healthcare Rooted in Community

At Blüm Health, we believe healthcare should be personal, compassionate, and rooted in community. We are more than a clinic—we are parents, providers, and neighbors who live and work alongside the families we serve.

Our mission is to provide integrated, culturally responsive healthcare that honors Hawaiian values and addresses the whole person—mind, body, and ʻohana. We believe that when care is delivered with cultural humility and genuine connection, outcomes improve and communities thrive.

We don't just treat symptoms; we care for the whole child and family, connecting them with local resources, schools, and organizations to ensure no one feels lost in the system.

Our Story

Blüm Health was born from frustration—and from hope.

One of our founders is a nurse practitioner, a parent of a child with autism, and someone who watched families, including his own, struggle to navigate a healthcare system that seemed designed to confuse rather than help. He, like many families, faced long wait times to get his son with autism evaluated, where he found the wait time to be greater than 12-months. Then, further delays in getting into referred providers and having to bounce between specialists who never talked to each other.

It didn't have to be this way.

"I kept thinking: what if there was a place where mental health providers and primary care worked in the same hallway? Where cultural background wasn't an afterthought but central to how care was delivered? Where families could get answers in weeks, not months?"

That place is Blüm Health.

We built the clinic we wished had existed when our own families needed it. A place where behavioral health, primary care, and specialized services are truly integrated—not just co-located, but working together daily. Where providers understand that Hawaiian families have unique strengths, challenges, and values that must inform care. Where the goal isn't just treating diagnoses but supporting thriving ʻohana.

The name "Blüm" reflects our belief that with the right support and environment, every person can flourish. Like the native plants of Hawaiʻi that have adapted and thrived in these islands for generations, we believe families can bloom when given care that truly fits them.

What Guides Us

These aren't just words on a wall. They're commitments that shape every decision we make.

Cultural Humility

We don't assume we know your culture better than you do. We listen, learn, and adapt our approaches to honor your values, traditions, and ways of being.

ʻOhana-Centered

We treat families, not just individuals. Parents, siblings, grandparents—everyone who cares for and is affected by a child's wellbeing is welcome in our care.

Evidence-Based

We use treatments that research has proven effective, adapted thoughtfully for cultural context. Science guides our practice; compassion delivers it.

Genuine Partnership

You are the expert on your own life. We bring clinical knowledge; you bring lived experience. Together, we make decisions that fit your reality.

Neurodiversity-Affirming

Different brains are not broken brains. We support autistic individuals and others to thrive as themselves, not to conform to neurotypical expectations.

Accessible Care

Geography, insurance, and wait times shouldn't determine who gets help. We work to remove barriers and bring care to families across all islands.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that we live and work on the occupied lands of the Kānaka ʻŌiwi, the Native Hawaiian people. We honor with deep gratitude both the land itself and the generations of Kānaka ʻŌiwi who have cared for, protected, and stewarded it—past, present, and future.

This acknowledgment is not just words but a commitment to center Hawaiian voices, support Hawaiian-led initiatives, and ensure our healthcare practices honor rather than harm the indigenous people of these islands.

Clinical Credentials

Our providers hold advanced certifications and specialized training that enable us to offer the highest quality care.

Specialized Certifications

Our clinical team holds credentials that are rare in Hawaiʻi, enabling us to provide gold-standard care that families would otherwise need to travel to the mainland to receive.
